Parabolic Activity

Exploring alternate realities within story books through reimagining classic folk tales. The settings will be “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe, “The Wind & The Sun” by Aesop, and “Little Red Cap” by The Brothers Grimm. The main environment will be black and white in a dimly lit bedroom as the character comes to life.

•   “The Raven” is set a within a gothic town using sepia tone to highlight the environment. Characters will be 2D with the use of 3D objects.

•  “The Wind & The Sun” is set within an origami world.

•  “Little Red Cap” is set in a dark forest with a cabin. Alternating between vibrant cyanotype and muted tones, I will emphasize red hues. The characters will be 2D, with the use of silhouettes like shadow puppets.
